Pablo Picasso – known as Pablo Ruiz Picasso ( 25 October 1881 – 8 April 1973) was a Spanish painter, draughtsman, and sculptor who lived most of his adult life in France. He was born in Málaga, Spain and he is best known for co-founding the Cubist movement, and for the wide variety of styles that he helped develop and worked in. Picasso’s Blue Period consists of somber paintings rendered in shades of blue and blue-green, only occasionally warmed by other colors, he pictured some doleful subject matter—prostitutes, beggars, harlequins, acrobats and artists there.

Pablo Picaso painted the picture of his last partner Jacqueline Roque. In this painting he pictured the crying woman.

His most expensive painting ever sold was at auction for 104 million dollars in 2004 at Sotheby’s auction house.
