Pharaoh was a title used for a ruler in Egypt in Hebrew and later Greek lands. Official title is King of the Upper Egypt and lower Egypt. Word comes from Egyptian words per–aa meaning Great House or High House referred to King´s palace. Even in the acient works palace means government and later it becomes unofficial title for king. First documented use of the painting in this matter refers to Thutmos III. Before cartouche with written royal name it appears in 22. Dynasty.
